There are around 15,000 types of mushrooms that call the UK home and Bicton has a rich collection of them. Back in the 1800’s there was even a mushroom house that used to grow mushrooms that could be safely eaten.
Why not join us for a tour around the gardens exploring what mushrooms are safe to eat and ones to definitely avoid. Our expert will be able answer any of your questions. You are also more than welcome to bring photos of mushrooms you may have at home to be identified.
This tour will start off at 10:30 in the function room with tea and coffee and then you will travel through the gardens for approximately 1.5 hours.
