As you stroll along our curated trail, you’ll discover the intricate relationship between plants and pollinators, learning about the crucial role these tiny creatures play in sustaining our ecosystems.
At Bicton our mascot is a bee and we have several hives that help pollinate our 1000’s of flowers at the gardens but also produce honey. Our children’s Pollinator Trail is for families to follow and find out a little more about the significance of pollinators such as birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants .
By taking part in our trail, little adventurers are able to explore parts of the gardens they may have never been to but also help them learn about bees and pollinators. This is important because it fosters an early appreciation for the crucial role these creatures play in pollinating plants, ensuring food production and biodiversity and helps instil an environmental awareness.
Engage with informative signage, that allows you to witness pollinators in action. Near to the bee hives at the nature trail there is an abundance of information boards full of fun facts about bees.
We also take Tesco Days Out Vouchers at reception
